Oil on Canvas, 16” x 20”

This painting brims with nostalgia for me. The small house on the left with the olive colored roof is actually my former residence in the small mountain town of Crested Butte Colorado (several years ago, my family and I relocated to a different part of town) . I came across an old photo of the property that captured a lovely winter alpenglow at sunset. However, in the photo, the backyard was vacant. Wanting more from this piece, I tapped into some fond memories of my boys epic late night adventures in the backyard to conjure up this delightful scene.
