Salvation- I can’t say for certain if the crossbar at the top of the post has religious meaning. At one time, it may have been a crude support for telephone or electrical lines. None the less, my first impression was one of religious significance. I enjoyed the play of plush greenery against the weathered wood and rocky dirt road.
  Paintbrushes fashioned from hog hairs have proven to be one of the more suitable tools for the application of oil paints. The thick nature of the oil paints demands a brush with a bit of stiffness. Furthermore, oil paints require turpentine or a similar product for cleanup, which means the brushes used should be strong and hearty.
