Rustler's gulch*SOLD

Oil on Canvas Panel, 14” x 11”

Steadily gaining elevation on the road from Crested Butte Colorado past the town of Gothic, there is a small sign that is easy to miss as your senses are relentlessly bombarded by the wonders of nature. It reads “Rustler’s Gulch” and it gently guides you down a secondary bumpy and narrow dirt road until you come to a water crossing that leads into magical wooded area marked by falling water that winds through a fragrant grove of pine trees. As if this weren’t enchantment enough for one day, I emerged from the tree line and glanced skyward to see a dramatic splash of light glancing off the towering peak of this rugged mountain. Glorious!
