| Rubber Duckie Race- During the first weekend of the month of August the town of Crested Butte Colorado plays host to a wonderful arts festival. The main street is closed and artists from all over the country come to display their work. It is during this time that the town conducts its annual Rubber Duckie Race. A raffle by design, the race consists of hundreds of numbered rubber ducks that are dumped into the Coal Creek. Residents and tourists participate by purchasing a rubber duck and following the race through town to a designated finish line. Prizes are awarded to the ducks that finish first, second and third. Tough, water-resistant coating is offered for Giclee prints produced on canvas. The final product is ready for display and can be stretched and mounted just like an original oil painting on stretched canvas. The texture of the canvas mimics the texture and surface quality of the original piece of fine art with stunning accuracy. |
