Venice Bridge
Rialto Bridge (Italy)- The number of bridges in Venice seems infinite. I wandered aimlessly for hours letting my imagination run wild. I pictured people from long ago crossing the same bridges I was crossing. I tried to envision a time that pre-dated credit cards and automobiles. Having successfully conjured up a host of images I remember taking a close look at the Rialto Bridge and finding myself deeply moved by a kind of beauty that transcends both time and culture.
I use a white drawing paper with a smooth surface to render my pen and ink drawings. The contrast between the ink and the paper creates a bold effect that adds depth to each piece of art.
