| Poppies-Though these vibrant flowers are not part of the Colorado wildflower family, they bloom in abundance throughout the town of Crested Butte. This patch caught my eye during a summer stroll through one of the many alleys of Crested Butte.
Wide and narrow flat brushes or thin and thick round brushes are the common brush types for manipulating oil paints on stretched canvas. Once the paints are dry it is common practice to treat the painting with either a gloss or matte varnish to seal, enhance and preserve the final piece of artwork.
