Summertime in the Rocky Mountains is a sight to behold! Crested Butte is considered to be the Wildflower Capital of Colorado. On this lovely summer day, it was an absolute feast for the eyes, as a dazzling display of color stopped me in my tracks as I rode my bike up the rec path that connects the town of Crested Butte Colorado with the neighboring town of Mt. Crested Butte. I work mostly from photographs taken on location. To capture this view, I actually got off my bike, walked out into the middle of this field of incredible wildflowers, sat down and rattled off a series of photographs.
