| Cathedral Lausanne (Switzerland)- I spent a cloudy and dreary afternoon walking the streets of Lausanne until I came across this magnificently preserved cathedral. Inside, I discovered the place to be completely empty except for an elderly gentleman who was playing the cathedral's enormous pipe organ. The haunting music echoed in my mind for days. Line variation along with different colors of ink produced a layering effect to each drawing that illustrated the element of depth. The contrast between the warm ink tones and the black ink tones reveals a complexity of texture and form. | ||
