| Kochevars- This is a typical scene from a popular tavern in downtown Crested Butte. A favorite hangout for locals, Kochevars offers pool, gaming tables and live music. When I am in need of a cold beer and some local flavor, this place tops my list.
There are characteristics about oil paints that I have not found in any other medium. The oily, wet and velvety qualities of the paint are unique to the medium. Drying time is also a factor- Because it takes weeks and sometimes months for a painting to completely dry, the artist can re-work the painting, step away for days, or wash the canvas clean and start again.
