| Dusty Road- A lovely summer day and a leisurely stroll down one of Crested Butte's many historic alleys provided me with some very exciting subject matter for this painting. A strong wind seemed to be churning clouds upward from the horizon and kicking up dust from the dry dirt road. Giclee prints are created by applying archival inks to canvas or paper. Either method produces a print of the highest quality at a price considered by many to be far more affordable than traditional fine art printing methods. The process requires a high-resolution digital scan of the original piece of art. Once obtained, the image is fed into a state of the art printing machine capable of applying millions of droplets of archival ink per second to the chosen surface. |
