Oil on Canvas Panel, 12” x 16”

I stumbled upon this extraordinary scene during a lovely morning walk through the backcountry, just a few miles beyond the town limits of Crested Butte Colorado. A glowing tapestry of summer blooms blanketed the valley floor ignited by a warm summer light. Standing stoic in the distance, Crested Butte Mountain towered over the plush valley, while playful ripples of reflected light danced across the surface of a small hidden pond.
