| Columbines-This flower is the state flower of Colorado. I found this gathering during a short outing through the backcountry. The Columbine is a fascinating layering of petals that resembles a flower within a flower. Each year Crested Butte holds a week long festival to celebrate the wildflowers' arrival. A stretched canvas or a canvas board are the most common surfaces upon which oil paints are applied. The thick quality of the oil paints can be diluted using a variety of mediums. Over time, the porous cloth-like quality of the canvas has proven to be an ideal surface through saturation and durability. | ||
