On sunny days, the benches on the open air patio are a favorite hangout for locals and tourists alike. Mixing colors with oil paints is a labor of love. I prefer to use a large palette knife to combine various colors. My technique involves the repeated folding of one color into another. Because oil paints have a long lasting creamy quality to them, I am able to take my time when mixing my colors with no fear of the paints setting up before I've mixed the color to my complete satisfaction. | ||
