Coal Creek- This charming creek twists and turns its way through downtown Crested Butte adding a nice water element to the picturesque building facades of the old mining town. However, I am always looking for a less obvious perspective. I hiked knee deep through snow for about one quarter of a mile outside of town and upstream to find this particular view.
Landscapes are my preferred subject matter. However, I also enjoy figure painting and the occasional portrait. The thick quality of the oil paints lends itself nicely to my technique of heavy and visible brushstrokes.
