		Autumn Breeze- As I passed by, strolling at a leisurely pace, a cool autumn breeze jostled the clothes that hung from this line. The abandoned basket in the yard made me wonder where the person had gone who had hung the clothes. Did they have to run to answer the phone? Perhaps an unexpected guest stopped by to chat. In any event, the absence of this person became the inspiration for this piece.   The combination of richly colored pigments and velvety smooth oil produces a painting medium that yields a complex vehicle for artistic expression unmatched by other painting methods. Oil paints are designed to stand the test of time. They do not fade, flake or mark easily and if cared for properly have been proven to last for hundreds of years.
