Oil on Canvas, 18” x 24”

This painting was inspired by a mesmerizing stroll through a grove of aspen trees a few miles outside my home town of Crested Butte Colorado. Early morning sunlight scattered a warm glow across the autumnal landscape illuminating the backcountry in a dazzling display of seasonal colors. A cool breeze swept through the shimmering leaves, announcing the imminent approach of another long winter in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
