abundant glory*SOLD

Oil on Canvas, 30” x 24”

A good many of my paintings are inspired by scenes I come across while riding my mountain bike through the rugged back country of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This view of Red Lady Mountain towering above the Coal Creek is one that I ride past regularly on my way to the access point of a single track called the Lower Loop. On this particular day, I was so moved by the extraordinary plush terrain that I got off my bike and found a seat along the embankment of wildflowers seen in the lower right hand corner of this painting. Playful clouds rushed across a bright bluebird sky, while the spectacle of nature’s abundant glory unfolded before my eyes.
