Freed Fine Art
Pastel Assemblage
Absolute Divination- This piece is the culmination of a study that began with a diptych (see Portrait of a Revelation I & II). The method by which this piece was created was also used to produce its predecessor (see Absolute Divination). The abstract effect was achieved by first rendering a representational drawing of three human figures. I then cut that drawing up into a variety of organic shapes and glued those onto a new piece of paper. To finish the drawing, I worked over and in between the organic shapes with pastels and a wet paintbrush.  The goal of this process was to create a piece of art capable of provoking a feeling, mood or sensation that could be attributed to the human experience.
A pre-press process is required before each image can go to press. A digital image is stored electronically once it has been created from a transparency, slide, negative or print. Once approved, the stored image can be used to create accurate and consistent images of fine art.
